We at OurFutures are actively working towards a bright and healthy tomorrow, by helping to prevent mental health issues, substance use, and vaping today. Supporting the health and wellbeing of students is essential for fostering a happy, functional future. It also requires effective education, and that’s exactly what Education Today is dedicated to as well.
So, naturally, we’re excited to collaborate with Education Today with a content partnership that allows our ‘Big 6’ blog series to be shared with a broader audience, consequently increasing impact.
Education Today serves as a vital resource for education leaders, offering a wide array of articles and insights across various subjects, including Early Learning, Primary and Secondary Education, Student Wellbeing, and Classroom Teaching. Their commitment to providing credible and relevant information makes them a trusted platform among educators nationwide.
The Health4Life ‘Big 6’ Blog Series
The Health4Life program focuses on six key modifiable health behaviours—physical activity, dietary intake, sleep, screen time, alcohol consumption, and tobacco and e-cigarette use—that significantly impact the physical and mental wellbeing of young individuals. By addressing these factors, we aim to equip youth (year 7-8 students) with the knowledge and tools to lead healthier lives and help prevent chronic health issues. All the articles highlight findings from one of Australia’s largest school-based prevention clincial trials.
Through our content partnership, Education Today is featuring articles from the Health4Life ‘Big 6’ series, which so far includes:
- The Impact of Dietary Intake in Youth Mental Health: As the inaugural post in the six-part series, this piece explores how dietary habits influences mental health in adolescents.
- The Impact of Physical Activity on Youth Wellbeing: This article delves into the correlation between physical activity and mental health.
… With more to come!
We are excited to collectively foster a healthier future for our young generations.
