In this Privacy Policy, ‘us,’ ‘we’ or ‘our’ means OurFutures. We are committed to respecting your privacy. Our Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use, store and disclose your personal information.

By providing personal information to us, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and any other arrangements that apply between us. We may change our Privacy Policy from time to time by publishing changes to it on our website. We encourage you to check our website periodically to ensure that you are aware of our current Privacy Policy.

Personal information in this context includes information or an opinion about an individual that is reasonably identifiable. This will include at most your name or contact details such as email address or phone number.

What Personal Information Do We Collect?

  1. We may collect the following types of personal information from teachers, school leaders, parents or other users that order our programs:
  • name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number and other contact details;
  • your device ID, device type, geo-location information, computer and connection information, statistics on page views, traffic to and from the sites, ad data, IP address and standard weblog information;
  • details of the products and services we have provided to you or that you have enquired about, including any additional information necessary to deliver those products and services and respond to your enquiries;
  • any additional information relating to you that you provide to us directly through our website or indirectly through your use of our website or online presence or through other websites or accounts from which you permit us to collect information;
  • information you provide to us through customer surveys; or
  • any other personal information that may be required in order to facilitate your dealings with us.

    – register on our website; or
    – interact with our sites, services, content and advertising.
  1. We may collect the following types of information about students who are enrolled in our programs
  • name;
  • email address;
  • year group;
  • school name;
  • browser-related data and geo-location information (at city level).
  • Student and user data is physically located within Australia.

We do not use personal information for advertising, marketing, or market research purposes. User data collected through our educational platform is used solely for delivering educational services and operational purposes as described in this policy.

Why Do We Collect, Use And Disclose Personal Information?

  1. We may collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for the following purposes:
  • to enable you to access and use our website and products and services;
  • to operate, protect, improve and optimise our website, products, services and business and our users’ experience, such as to perform analytics, conduct research and for advertising and marketing;

LogRocket

Organisation: LogRocket, Inc.

Data Types: Session interaction data including page views, clicks, navigation patterns, DOM changes, and browser events. Personal information such as passwords and credit card data is explicitly excluded from capture.
Purpose: Session recording and replay for debugging, technical support, user experience optimization, and identifying technical issues
Processing Countries: United States
Lawful Basis: Legitimate interests for platform improvement and technical support
Additional Information: As of 18 September 2025, only teacher sessions are recorded. Student sessions are not tracked by LogRocket. Session recordings help our technical team identify and resolve platform issues quickly.

Netfront (Technology Provider)

Organisation: Netfront Pty Ltd

Data Types: All personal information processed through our learning management system
Purpose: Platform development, hosting, maintenance, and technical support
Processing Countries: Australia
Lawful Basis: Contract performance for service delivery

Sub-processor Updates: We may update this list of sub-processors from time to time. When we add new sub-processors that will have access to personal information, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required by law, notify affected individuals.

Cookies

  1. When you use our website, we may place small files called ‘cookies’ on your computer. We use cookies to tailor unique preferences for you when you use our website and track your activity on our website. You always have the option to disable cookies through your browser preferences, however, that may make certain functions of our website less effective.

We may also need to verify your identity when you request your personal information. If you think that any personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, please email info@ourfuturesinstitute.org.au, and we will take reasonable steps to ensure that it is corrected.

Making a complaint

  1. If you think we have breached the Privacy Act, or you wish to make a complaint about the way we have handled your personal information, you can email info@ourfuturesinstitute.org.au. Please include your name, email address and/or telephone number and clearly describe your complaint. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond to you regarding your complaint within a reasonable period of time. If you think that we have failed to resolve the complaint satisfactorily, we will provide you with information about the further steps you can take.
  2. All data handled by OurFutures Institute will remain within secure Australian datacenters managed by AWS Australia.
